When confirmed by the Trust group bookings will provide the user with exclusive use of all three lanes including and if required, the cricket blowing and softball pitching machines.
Cancellation – Bookings not used
Once a booking has been confirmed by the Trust advice of cancellation of the booking must be received by the Trust by email to tsct@xtra.co.nz at least 2 hours* before the scheduled start time. Where bookings are not used and advice of cancellation has not been provided as required, the amount for the booking will remain payable.
*Where bookings are scheduled to commence before 10.00am on any day, cancelation requests must be sent to the Trust by email before 8.00pm the night before the booking.
Payments
Unless prior arrangements have been made, all bookings must be paid for on or before the commencement time of a booking. Payments are required to be made by bank transfer to the Trust’s account 01 0771 0090876 00 with the name of the person/entity making the booking in the reference fields.
Where payment is being made within 24 hours of the commencement time of a booking confirmation that the payment has been made is to be sent to the Trust at tsct@xtra.co.nz.
Using the Centre
The person or entity making a booking is responsible to ensure this policy, the conditions of use of the Centre and notices in the Centre are followed.
Accessing the Centre
Access to the Centre will be provided where the person or entity making a booking does not hold an access card.
When an access card is presented at the card reader located to the left of the front doors, the door will unlock. The door will relock when it closes. If the door is not opened within five seconds it will re-lock and the access card will need to presented at the card reader again.
In the event any members of a group do not enter the Centre with the Access Cardholder or leave the Centre and return later, they can press the doorbell button, located above the card reader, to advise that they have arrived. The door can then be unlocked by someone in the Centre using the door release button, located in front of the viewing area, or someone can go to the door and open it.
The person or entity booking the Centre are responsible to ensure access to the Centre using the door release button or opening the door is only provided to members of their group. The person or entity booking the Centre will be held responsible for the actions of anyone who is provided with access to the Centre during the booking who is not part of their group. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, any payment due for use of the Centre and any damage caused to the Centre or equipment by those people.
If the door is left open during a booking the person or entity booking the Centre will be responsible for anyone who enters the Centre while the door is open. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, payment due for use of the Centre and any damage caused to the Centre or equipment by those people.
Raising nets
If used the nets at the end of the lanes must be raised after use. If the bowling machine is being left on lane 1 the net at the end of that lane can be left down.
The net in lane 3, for use in front of the pitching machine, must be raised after use.
Football goals
The football goals must be returned against the wall where indicated by the notices.
Cricket bowling and softball pitching machines
Only the balls provided at the Centre, or balls that are exactly the same, are to be used with the bowling and pitching machines.
The balls for machines must be returned to the appropriate container at the end of all bookings.
The cricket bowling machine can be left in lane 1 after use.
The pitching machine, if used, must be left against the wall on the park side of the Centre at the completion of use.
Access to toilets
When the doors to the toilets from the Centre are locked Centre users have to exit the Centre through the front door and use the public entrance to the toilets.
Please note, the toilets are maintained by the Council not the Trust.
Health and Safety
The Centre’s Health and Safety policy can be found on the Centre’s website. The person/entity that has made a booking is responsible to ensure they are aware of the policy and the actions required in the event of a fire or other emergency.
First Aid
First aid supplies are located on the wall between the changing room and storeroom. Please advise the Trust on tsct@xtra.co.nz if a significant amount of supplies are used at any time.
Use of the Centre after bookings
Groups are required to leave the practice area at the completion time of their booking.
Anyone who is part of a booking and intends to use the Centre at the completion of a booking must have an Access Card. They must scan their card at the card reader prior to commencing to use the Centre and comply with the conditions, including payment, of that Card. In the event this requirement is not met any use of the Centre after the completion time of a booking will be charged to the person or entity booking the Centre.
Damage to the Centre or equipment
The person or entity booking the Centre are required to promptly report to the Trust any damage or breakages to the Centre or the equipment in the Centre.
General
The person or entity booking the Centre are responsible for:
- The good conduct of all those using the Centre, including spectators.
- Their own health and safety as well as all of those in their group/booking.
- Ensuring all persons using the Centre take reasonable precautions for their safe use of the Centre.
- The cost to repair any damage caused to the fittings, fixtures and equipment in the Centre through any wilful act or act of negligence, whether intentional or otherwise.
- Any charge deemed appropriate by the Trust having to attend the Centre to assess damage and oversee necessary repairs.
- Ensuring a responsible person aged 16 or over is in attendance at all times when the Centre is being used.
- Ensuring the door to the Centre is locked at the end of the booking.
Other
- Any person found to have wilfully damaged any Trust property or equipment or removed any Trust property or equipment, including but not limited to, bowling and pitching machine balls, will be banned from using the Centre. Depending on the severity of any act further action may be taken by the Trust.
- The Trust accepts no responsibility for any property left at the Centre. Lost property will placed on or near the table at the end of the seating area and will be disposed of after 14 days if not claimed.
- No food including gum is allowed inside the netted area.
- No spiked or studded footwear is to be worn in the Centre.
- All grass and dirt must be removed from footwear.
- Smoking is not permitted in the Centre.
- Only white chalk is to be used on the artificial turf.
- Do not swing or lean on the netting.
- All rubbish is to be placed in the bin provided.
- Dogs are not permitted in the Centre.
